Getting Started!

So, it's been a LONG time since I've updated here! Lots of things have been going on over at Blu Moon Design.

Thanks to my wonderful customers, I've been busy sewing tons!

I've recently been contacted by a little website called Zulily to do an event with them. If you've not heard of Zulily, they are a site that does 3 day events with vendors and offers some great deals to buyers. With 5 million registered members, it's a bit of a big deal for me to get asked to do this.

I figured that was a great time to update the blog here and take you all on this fabulous journey with me!

It's been a bit crazy trying to figure out what to do first! Ordering TONS of fabric.... and other fun things!

First up... lots of new tags and labels..... thanks to Fancy Weaver, now I am all set with them!!

New Business cards/hangtags too! Isn't my little model just adorable! Of course, I accidentally messed up my layout and the backs were upside down... thanks Vistaprint for fixing them and sending me new ones... for FREE!

Now, I can't possibly sew all these pieces by myself... so I hired some help too. Here is my new cutting man... my dad! Happy that he is able to come over and help me get it done! First day and he cut almost 40 tops in 5 hours!! Awesome!!

Bags and bags of fun shirts! Wish I could sew as fast as he cut.....

That's about where we are at as of today.... lots of fun things coming up!! I'll be sure to keep you posted!

Something new today.... a fun EASY recipe!
Yummy Banana Pudding!

This is a super easy and fun dessert to make. We do a variety of combinations at our house too!

For the banana one.. you'll need a box of Nilla Wafers, a box of instant banana pudding and cool whip.
Layer nilla wafers in the bottom of your pan. Make the banana pudding according to package instructions. Layer 1/2 the pudding, then 1/2 the cool whip. Repeat the layers! Refrigerate and enjoy!!
We also tried a new variation today too... graham crackers, chocolate pudding and marshmallow cream. Same preparation instructions on this one. Just wish we'd have had a blow torch to toast the marshmallow on top!
We have also used butterscotch pudding...
Now... I think I need to go get some! Enjoy!

Who's ready for spring? I know we sure are! The sun was shining today and a warm 40 degrees... well, that is warm for Michigan anyway! So, digging through my fabric stash today I found this bright and cheery butterfly print. Pairing it with a fun pink to make this ready to ship twirly dress. Best to fit a size 3/4/5.
